Man charged with statutory sodomy arrested, appears in court by video

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man charged with first-degree statutory sodomy of a person younger than 14 years old is now in custody.

Jacob Thomas Noel, 36, is accused of assaulting the victim while they were in his care. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. He was booked into the jail Wednesday afternoon.

Noel appeared in court Thursday by video from the jail. His next court date has not been set.
