A Brumley man is accused of breaking into a hotel room and sexually assaulting a woman.

Charles Talley Jr., 44, is charged with second-degree sodomy, first-degree burglary and attempted first-degree burglary. He is being held at the Camden County Jail without bond. A court date has not been announced.

Talley allegedly broke into a hotel room at the Quail’s Nest  early on April 23 and sexually assaulted a woman. Osage Beach police allegedly identified Talley from surveillance video. A parole supervisor identified him, according to the probable cause statement.

The owner of the Quail’s Nest said Talley was her ex-husband. Two employees also allegedly identified Talley from a photo. On May 7-8, Talley allegedly tried to break into several hotel rooms with a key. Multiple occupants reported a man trying to get into their rooms, but was unable to because the top lock bar on the door was latched, according to the probable cause statement.
