Boonville man charged with child molestation, rape and sodomy

BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boonville man has been charged with several child sex crimes.

Troy Reed, 43, is charged with two counts of first-degree rape of a victim younger than 12 years old, two counts of first-degree child molestation and two counts of first-degree sodomy of a victim younger than 12 years old. He is being held at the Cooper County Jail on a $1 million bond.

The Boonville Police Department said in a Friday press release that it began its investigation Monday and arrested Reed on Wednesday.

A court date has not been set.
