Two arrested following chase in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were arrested Thursday afternoon following a high-speed chase that ended in northwest Columbia.

The chase allegedly began when the driver drove away from a traffic stop, according to police.

The vehicle allegedly blew out a tire around the area near Grayson Drive. Two guns were found on Sunflower Street. At least five police vehicles were seen by an ABC 17 News reporter. A K-9 was also used.

The two people who were arrested allegedly got out of the vehicle and tried to run away after the tire blew out, according to police. Both were detained on Sunflower Street.

Suspect information was not immediately revealed by police.
