QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should hate crime charges be filed in the Ralph Yarl shooting?

An 84-year-old man has turned himself in on charges related to the shooting of a Kansas City teenager who mistakenly went to the wrong house to pick up his siblings.

The shooter, who is white, has not been charged with hate crimes for wounding Black teenager Ralph Yarl. However, Kansas City-area faith leaders held a news conference Tuesday demanding the shooter be prosecuted for hate crimes.
