A Camdenton man was charged with a pair of felonies after allegedly breaking into a residence and punching a woman several times on Saturday, according to a press release from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.

Patrick Long, 37, is charged with first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. He is being held without bond at the Camden County Jail. An initial court appearance was held Monday morning at the Camden County Courthouse.

On early Saturday morning, deputies responded to a residence on Westpark Drive in Camdenton after several 911 hang-up calls.  Upon arrival, deputies discovered an ongoing disturbance and detained 37-year-old Patrick W Long.

Long initially gave a different name to deputies, according to the release. The two alleged victims identified Long.

Long and one of the women were in a relationship and argued a few hours earlier, according to the release. Long then left the woman in Sunrise Beach with no ride home. The woman then contacted a friend to give her a ride home to the residence.

After the two women arrived at the residence, Long showed up and allegedly kicked in the front door. He allegedly shoved one of the victims into a wall, began strangling her with both hands and punched her about the head and face several times, according to the press release.

The victim was brought to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment, the release stated.
