Columbia Police respond to shots fired call in the Loop

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department responded to a shots fired call early Sunday morning near the corner of 8th street and North Boulevard.

An ABC 17 reporter spoke with police on scene who told him that they cannot confirm if there were shots fired due to a lack of evidence in the area.

There were roughly three police units that responded to the call.

The scene was quickly cleared and police say as of now they can't say what really happened.

No victims or shell casings were found at the scene were the reported shots were fired.

We have reached out to CPD for more information and are still waiting to hear back.
