Man accused of firing gun at building pleads guilty, sentenced to 7 years

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Hallsville man who was accused of firing a gun at a building in November pleaded guilty to multiple charges on Monday.

Nicholas Brunda, 40, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was initially charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and fourth-degree assault.

He was accused in November of firing a gun at a building and allegedly made threats to someone who lives in west Columbia.
