A Randolph County man was charged Thursday with murder after a deadly drug overdose.

Kyle P. Hummel of Huntsville was charged with second-degree murder and drug distribution, according to online court records. He was jailed on a $100,000 cash-only bond.

The Moberly Police Department said in a news release that the charges are related to the death of a Moberly resident Sunday. Police say Hummel supplied the drugs that led to the overdose.

No hearings have been set in this case.
