Moniteau County man faces child-porn charges

CALIFORNIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A California, Missouri, man is facing several charges related to child pornography.

Bryan Donley, 45, is charged with two counts of first-degree promoting child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography. An initial arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday at the Moniteau County Courthouse.

Donley was arrested Thursday. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper said the patrol received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children last month. The report indicated Microsoft reported two files of suspected child pornography that were either uploaded or transferred to their servers on BING on Nov. 10, 2022.

The IP address belonged to CoMo Connect, who responded to a subpoena and indicated when the files were uploaded and from an IP address belonging to Donley, according to the probable cause statement.

A search warrant was executed at Donley’s residence. He allegedly told a trooper that he uses Microsoft Edge on his computer and looked at images of nude children. He allegedly said he used Edge’s search feature (which is BING) to find similar material. Videos were also found on his computer, the probable cause statement says.
