Fiji member charged with hazing to have jury from Warren County

MGN

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A jury will be pooled from Warren County for one of the men charged with hazing in relation to the night that left Danny Santulli disabled.

Benjamin Karl, 21, is charged with hazing--life endangerment. A motion for a change of venue was filed in November. It was decided that the jury will come from residents of Warren County, but the case will still be heard in Boone County.

A hearing will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 20.

Santulli was left unable to walk, talk or see after suffering a traumatic brain injury following the alleged hazing incident at the University of Missouri's Phi Gamma Delta fraternity in October 2021.

Santulli’s family previously sued and settled a lawsuit against 23 defendants.
