Two shot, one dead, in Chariton County
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Friday morning shooting left one man dead and another badly injured in Keytesville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Chariton County deputies were called to a Keytesville home for a fight and found one man dead from an apparent gunshot wound and another man who had also been shot, Troop B spokesman Cpl. Justin Dunn said. The surviving man was flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
A woman who was also at the home was unhurt, Dunn said.
The patrol is the lead investigating agency after the sheriff's office requested help, Dunn said. Authorities aren't releasing any other information, citing the active investigation, Dunn said.
