Man robs Jefferson City credit union

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man robbed a Jefferson City credit union at gunpoint Thursday morning, police say.

Police received a call at about 9 a.m. that a man with a handgun went to River Region Credit Union on West Truman Boulevard and demanded money, according to a Jefferson City Police Department news release. The man left moments later with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

No employees were injured. Police were still looking for the robber at about noon.

A police spokesman said investigators have identified a suspect but are not releasing more information at this time. The FBI is helping with the investigation.
