COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A masked man with a handgun robbed a Boonville convenience store and might have had accomplices, police say.

The robbery happened Thursday at the Break Time at 2441 Pioneer St., police said in a news release. A masked man with a handgun got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, the Boonville Police Department said.

The man fled in a dark SUV. Police say he's still at large but they think he has left the Boonville area. The investigation so far indicates at least two accomplices, according to the release.

An adult store in Columbia was also robbed Thursday night but there's no indication that the two are linked.
