A Memphis man wanted by police for a deadly shooting was arrested Thursday in Columbia, the U.S. attorney's office said Friday.

Kevin W. Fennell, 34, was wanted for a Nov. 15 deadly shooting in the 1300 block of Springbrook Avenue in Memphis. A U.S. Marshals task force based in Memphis learned Fennell was in the Columbia area, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Missouri.

Marshals with a Springfield, Missouri-based task force worked with the Columbia Police Department and its SWAT team to surround a home Thursday, according to the release. Fennell came out without incident.

Fennell was awaiting extradition to Shelby County, Tennessee on Friday, the U.S. attorney's office says.
