More court hearings set in University of Missouri hazing case

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Court dates were set Monday for two men charged in the Phi Gamma Delta hazing incident that left University of Missouri freshman pledge Danny Santulli disabled.

Santulli was allegedly forced to drink a bottle of vodka for the fraternity's Pledge Dad Reveal Night last October. He suffered cardiac arrest and cannot walk, see or communicate because of his extreme alcohol consumption that night.

Samual Lane had a court hearing at 9 a.m. Lane is one of 11 people charged with felony hazing.

Lane and his attorney did not appear in court, but entered a written statement and waived arraignment with a not-guilty plea. Judge Kevin Crane set Lane's next hearing for 9 a.m. Nov. 23.

The live-in supervisor, or "house dad" John "Jack" O'Neill also had a court hearing today. The judge ordered his next hearing for December 12.

Last week, three other fraternity brothers were in court, including Harrison Reichman, Thomas Shultz and Benjamin Parres.

So far Lane, Samuel Gandhi, Alec Wetzler, Blake Morsovillo, Thomas Shultz and Harrison Reichman have pleaded not guilty.
