SALINE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Marshall man was arrested Tuesday after police alleged he had multiple warrants.

Brett Ortega, 30, was charged in September with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. After he was detained, he had a $15,000 bond, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Office. He is scheduled for an initial appearance in court for those charges at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Ortega was also charged with first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle last month and a hearing for that case is scheduled for Oct. 19. He was also charged with owning a vehicle without insurance in July. A hearing for that is scheduled for Nov. 3.
