Morgan County man charged with child sex crimes

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Rocky Mount man was charged multiple counts of child molestation Friday.

Jason Acton, 31, was charged with two counts of molesting a child younger than 12 years old.

A sexual assault nurse at the emergency room at University Hospital told police the victim told their mother that Acton had touched them "everywhere."

Acton had a hearing Tuesday morning and pleaded not guilty. A bond hearing is scheduled for Oct. 18. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County jail.

Acton was also charged in a separate case in April for third-degree domestic assault. A jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 6, 2023. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Nov. 28.
