Columbia police investigating suspicious death on High Quest Drive
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia police were dispatched to the 1700 block of High Quest Drive at 3:40 p.m. for a welfare check. While checking the residence, police began to investigate a suspicious death. Neighbors claim two women lived in the house.
"The circumstances surrounding the death have been proven to not be natural," CPD spokesman Christian Tabak said. "We are determining whether that includes foul play or anything else."
Police said there was no immediate danger to the community at this time. There was also no immediate suspect information. More information will be provided as more details are learned.
"We have obtained a search warrant in relation to the suspicious death on High Quest Drive," CPD wrote on Twitter. "Our crime scene investigators will soon begin processing the scene. We want to thank community members who have come forward with information. Follow us on social media for updates."
A crime scene investigation team was viewed at the scene taking photos and collecting evidence after 9:30 p.m.
