Camden County deputies are looking for a 43-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a woman and pushed her out of her own car Thursday.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office said Stephen G. Wachholtz, assaulted the woman and took her car Thursday in the Richland area. Wachholtz frequents Eugene, Sunrise Beach, Richland and Dixon, the sheriff's office said.

Wachholtz allegedly slammed the woman's head into the steering wheel of her car while she was giving him a ride, according to a news release. He was angered because the woman said she was driving home after her car had mechanical problems, the sheriff's office said.

The woman tried to get away with her keys but Wachholtz grabbed her, bit her and took the keys from her, deputies say. He then pushed her out of the vehicle and took off, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said the car was a gold 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix with four doors, a damaged driver's side taillight and the license plate number EG2K0E.

Wachholtz is also wanted on separate drug possession charges.
