Four people arrested in connection with burglary and car thefts in Cole County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Four people were arrested after a 9-1-1 hang-up call led Cole County Sheriff's deputies to investigate a burglary and car thefts near Eugene.

When deputies went to investigate on the 10000 block of Old Highway 54 in Eugene, the homeowner said that a vehicle was missing and stolen.

On Wednesday afternoon, deputies investigated a second theft call on the 5000 block of Monticello Road where items were stolen out of a vehicle, including a credit card according to a release.

According to the release, deputies reportedly recognized a suspect that was attempting to use the stolen credit card and determined that suspect as connected to the 9-1-1 hang-up call.

A search warrant was obtained and served in the 1000 block of Madison Street in Jefferson City, which was the suspect’s residence. Deputies recovered numerous stolen items from multiple
victims, within several different jurisdictions.

The investigation resulted in the arrests of a 33-year-old woman, a 35-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old man all from Jefferson City. The four suspects were arrested for a
multiple crimes. the suspect was not identified in the release.

A 3-year-old child located at the scene was taken into custody and turned over to the care of the Missouri Division of Family Services.
