JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A federal judge sentenced a Fulton man Friday to nearly 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to methamphetamine trafficking and illegal gun possession.

Antonio J. Beard, 46, pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking and one count of having a gun in connection with drug trafficking at a hearing in November. The U.S. attorney's office says officers seized about 444 grams of meth, 45 oxycodone pills, dozens of marijuana vape cartridges and close to 90 suspected ecstasy pills along with about $2,200 in cash and a handgun from Beard's bedroom in October 2019.

Another search warrant that November turned up more methamphetamine, the U.S. attorney's office says.

U.S. District Judge Roseann Ketchmark sentenced him to 10 years and 10 months in prison without parole.
