JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police are asking the public to help them identify and find a man accused in an assault Friday at a business.

Police said the incident happened in the 2200 block of Missouri Boulevard on Friday afternoon and the assailant ran from the scene while being chased by a witness and the victim. Police described the person they're seeking as about 6 feet tall and average build with dreadlocks, wearing a dark Ecko Unlimited shirt, light-colored pants and dark shoes.

Police said the person was last seen running through a parking lot and disappeared between Hobby Lobby and O'Reilly Auto Parts.
