Shots fired at Highway 63 and Stadium Boulevard, MU authorities say

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: Officers arrested Darrion M. Hill, 22, on suspicion of harassment, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, in the area of the incident, the Columbia Police Department said. Police released no other information about the accusations against Hill.

ORIGINAL: Authorities at the University of Missouri reported Thursday that shots were fired at Highway 63 and Stadium Boulevard.

A notice was posted to the MU Alert warning system saying that Columbia police had reported shots fired near Stadium and Highway 63 at about 6 p.m. No other information was provided.

An ABC 17 News crew on scene reports multiple officers are searching an apartment complex.

A Columbia police sergeant on the scene reported there were multiple shots fired and police found shell casings at the scene.

Crews on scene report seeing seven to eight evidence markers on the ground.
