COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man has been charged with a felony for allegedly taking a woman's cellphone and using it to send himself lewd images of her.

Paris D. Logan, 30, was booked into jail Sunday on charges of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images, a felony, and tampering with computer data, a misdemeanor. The dissemination of images charge was signed into law in 2018 and is known as the "revenge porn" law.

The victim in the case said she fell asleep at a party at her home April 10, according to a probable cause statement. When she woke up she found Logan had her phone, which showed that sexual images of the woman and her boyfriend had been sent to a strange number, the statement says. She called the number and Logan's phone rang, the statement says.

The woman showed police 64 images that were allegedly sent to Logan's phone, according to the statement.

Logan was booked into the Boone County Jail on Sunday but posted bond and was released. No lawyer was listed for Logan in online court records.
