Moniteau County man charged with murder in deadly shooting

CALIFORNIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Moniteau County prosecutors have charged a 19-year-old man with murder after a Sunday shooting.

Ethan Bondurant of California, Missouri, is accused of shooting three people and assaulting another one, killing a 20-year-old man, according to the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office. The office has not identified the man who was killed.

Another 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were shot and a 19-year-old woman was assaulted, the sheriff's office said. The 18-year-old man was flown to University Hospital.

Deputies found the suspect vehicle stuck in a fence off Route T and arrested Bondurant, who was inside the vehicle, according to the release.

Moniteau County Prosecutor Derik Kinde charged Bondurant with first-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, two counts of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree assault, according to the sheriff's office. The prosecutor included an alternative charge of second-degree murder.

Information about the case was not available in online court records.

Bondurant was in the Moniteau County Jail on Monday without bond.
