A man faces possible charges after a weekend shooting in Gasconade County.

Deputies arrested Ryan M. Johnson on Saturday in the 2800 block of Mount Sterling Road, according to the Gasconade County Sheriff's Office. Johnson is being held in the Osage County Jail on possible charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

Deputies responded to K&M Country Store in Bland early Saturday morning for a report of a gunshot victim. A woman with a gunshot wound to her finger and head was found at the business, according to the sheriff's office.

Emergency crews took the woman to a hospital in Columbia for her injuries. She was later released.

Deputies said the woman met Johnson at the Valentine Ford creek access earlier on Saturday morning. Johnson is accused of shooting the woman after an argument.

Deputies said Johnson admitted to shooting the woman under interrogation. The gun used in the shooting was also recovered, according to the sheriff's office.

A judge set Johnson's bail at $50,000.
