Audrain County sheriff seeks armed robbery suspect
MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Audrain County Sheriff's Office is trying to find a suspect in an early November armed robbery.
The sheriff's office said Wednesday in a Facebook post that deputies are looking for Kevin L. Jackson of Mexico in connection with a Nov. 6 armed robbery at the Oak Crest Mobile Home Park on Audrain County Road 9832. Prosecutors charged Jackson with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action in mid-November.
Two juveniles told deputies that they met with Jackson to buy a gun, according to a probable cause statement. Instead, Jackson pulled a gun and took everything one of the victims had, including $100, some marijuana and a gun, the statement says. The other juvenile ran, according to investigators.
The robbery victim identified Jackson, who goes by "Lil Shoota," for investigators, according to the statement.
Deputies also spoke with a man who said Jackson confessed the robbery to him, the statement says. Jackson is also wanted for an unrelated Audrain County shooting. He was charged in July with unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
Jackson will be jailed without bond when he is arrested, according to court records.
