Several high-profile shootings in recent weeks have Columbia residents talking.

Two people were shot on Ninth Street, a popular downtown Columbia thoroughfare, over the University of Missouri's Homecoming weekend. Several shootings have taken place downtown and in other parts of the city over the past few weeks.

City leaders say they're working to address the problem. Are they doing enough? Vote in the poll below.

  1. City leaders are more likely to blame for increased violence. Destroy people’s economic, social, and mental health to contain a virus a bit more dangerous than ordinary, and people will act out.
