Police arrest Ashland man on suspicion of child pornography

ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police arrested an Ashland man Wednesday on suspicion of having child pornography.

The Ashland Police Department said in a news release that officers were sent to a report of a missing juvenile before 7 a.m. Wednesday and found the child with Cole Chandler, 19, of Ashland. Police determined Chandler had received or possessed at least one pornographic picture of a minor, according to the release, and arrested him.

Chandler was taken to the Boone County Jail, where he remained Thursday morning.

Chandler is charged with one count of possession of child pornography. Chandler's bond is set at $40,000.
