COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

State troopers arrested two Kansas City men Friday on allegations of drug and gun crimes after a vehicle and foot chase in Audrain County.

Ismail Muhidin, 20, and Hassan Mohamed, 25, were arrested Friday afternoon after a chase on Highway 54, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. The chase started when a trooper tried to pull Muhidin and Mohamed over for speeding, the patrol said.

Spikes were used to deflate the vehicle's tires and the men were captured after a foot chase, the patrol said.

Muhidin was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, drug distribution, drug possession, tampering with evidence and tampering with a motor vehicle. Mohamed was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, drug possession, drug delivery, tampering with a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon and warrants out of Clay and Jackson counties.
