Columbia police seek man in connection with knife attack

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police say they're looking for a man who cut another man with a knife early Monday.

Officers were sent to the 300 block of Hickman Avenue in central Columbia at about 1:20 a.m. Monday and found a man being treated by medics for a cut on his leg, according to a Columbia Police Department news release. The injury was not life-threatening, police said.

The man said he and his attacker had been drinking at a restaurant and got into an argument at a home on Hickman Avenue, according to police. The attacker cut the victim with a small knife and left, police said. He was wearing all-black clothing.

Police said more information could be released later.
