Dixon woman arrested after drugs were found during missing person investigation

MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

According to the Maries County Sheriffs Office, Debbra Gieck, of Dixon, was arrested after officials found drugs during a missing person investigation.

She has been charged by the Maries County Prosecutor with 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class C Felonies, and 1 count of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

During an investigation for a missing person, officials in Maries County said they found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription pills.

The Maries County Sheriff's Office posted about the search on Facebook Friday morning around 5 a.m., saying law enforcement was still at the scene.

The Maries County sheriff said the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group worked with the Osage County Sheriff's Office and the Mid-Mo drug task force to serve a search warrant for a missing person on Maries County Road 604 overnight Friday.

Authorities said that is where they discovered the drugs.

The missing person was not located. This is an ongoing investigation.
