Police: Shots fired in central Columbia; no one hurt

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police say officers found evidence of shots fired early Wednesday in central Columbia.

Officers were sent to the 300 block of Hirth Avenue a little after 2 a.m. They found a home damaged by gunfire but no injuries, according to a news release. Witnesses said they saw a newer-model red SUV traveling north on Hirth at the time shots were fired, police said.

Police released no other information and said the investigation continues.
