Columbia police report no one was in danger after a suspicious incident Monday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police report no one was in danger Monday morning after a suspicious incident near Scott Boulevard and Chapel Hill Road.

Police say they began investigating reports that a woman was abducted in southwest Columbia just before noon.

The Columbia Police Department said in a news release that dispatchers received reports that a woman crossing Scott Boulevard was forced by a man into a gray SUV just before noon near Chapel Hill Road. Officers could not find the vehicle.

Just after 7 p.m., Columbia police reported having identified and located the male and female subjects involved in the incident. No one was injured in the incident.

Officials report this incident continues to be investigated.
