Columbia police investigate early morning robbery

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Police say a man reported being robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning in downtown Columbia.
Officers were sent to the 100 block of West Broadway around 2:30 a.m. for a robbery with a gun, the Columbia Police Department said in a news release. Police say the victim told officers he was in his vehicle when a man approached him with a handgun. The robber left the area with an unknown amount of cash, police said. He was seen leaving in a red SUV with shiny rims.
Police did not report any injuries.
