2 arrested near Vichy connected to St. James homicide

ST. JAMES, Mo. (KMIZ)

The St. James Police Department said two people have been arrested in connection to a homicide investigation.

Josue Martinez, 20, and Kimberly Rostin, 29, were both arrested on suspicion murder linked to the investigation.

A social media post said the pair was sought for questioning linked to an incident at the Economy Inn motel in St. James. The post later clarified the incident was a homicide.

A separate post on the Phelps County Sheriff's Facebook page said information about Martinez and Rostin was disseminated to local law enforcement and the public.

Shortly after the message was sent out an off-duty Phelps County Correctional officer spotted Martinez and Rostin walking near the intersection of Highways 63 and 28 in Maries County, the post said.

The sheriff's office said the homicide investigation will continue, however, there are no other suspects in the case.
