Columbia police arrest Waffle House murder suspect

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police said Tuesday they've arrested a man accused of fatally shooting another man at a Columbia Waffle House.

The Columbia Police Department said in a news release that officers had arrested Leo B. Robinson Jr., 50, without specifying where or how he was arrested. Robinson was wanted on charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Reginald Ball, 51.

Investigators allege in court documents that Robinson shot Ball outside the Waffle House on Vandiver Drive during an argument just before 11 p.m. Sunday. Officers said surveillance video matched witness accounts of Robinson shooting Ball as Robinson was inside a vehicle and Ball was outside.

Ball was pronounced dead at the scene soon after officers arrived.

Robinson was charged Monday and denied bond, according to court records.
