Columbia police investigating late-night stabbing on Ripley Street

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police officers investigated a stabbing in the 400 block of Ripley Street late Tuesday night, a department spokeswoman said.

ABC 17 News crews at the scene reported multiple police officers responded to the incident and set up crime scene tape.

Columbia police press release reports the male victim, 62, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Brittnay Hilderbrand said police were called to the area around 10:22 p.m.

Hilderbrand said officers were still investigating the incident as of Wednesday morning.

The police department did not say if any arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing.
