Cole County prosecutors filed charges against one woman after she was arrested on suspicion of trying to run over another person with her car.

Latavia Riley, 20, of Jefferson City, faces a felony count each of second-degree assault and first-degree property damage.

Police arrested two others in connection to the incident and said that more arrests are possible.

Witnesses and victims told police Riley was sitting in a blue passenger vehicle outside of a residence in the 800 block of E. Elm Street Sunday afternoon.

A victim told investigators Riley may have been waiting outside the residence to fight someone inside.

Court documents said Riley and a person who lives on E. Elm have an ongoing feud. In her probable cause statement, Riley told investigators she went over to the residence to pick up some old belongings.

Security camera footage from the scene allegedly showed Riley arguing with one of the victims. The footage also showed one of the victims punch a passenger inside Riley's vehicle.

Police say Riley got in her, reversed it and pointed the front of the vehicle at the victims. The probable cause statement said Riley accelerated and hit the victim's legs and vehicle "in what appeared to be an intentional act."

Riley can be seen on surveillance footage reversing and driving away from the area. The victim said the crash caused at least $750 of damage.

The court documents said Riley and her passenger later showed up at the Jefferson City Police Department. Riley initially told investigators she put the car in reverse to leave and thought she was still in reverse when she hit the other vehicle.

Riley said that she didn't intentionally run into the victim or the vehicle. She allegedly told officers she left because her passenger was pregnant and didn't want her to get hurt.

Police said in a release sent out Monday that Riley later admitted to running into the other vehicle on purpose.
