COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police officers arrested a man suspected of an August shooting outside the Columbia Mall that hurt one person.

Davion Gross, 23, of Columbia, is accused of first-degree assault and armed criminal in the shooting.

Police said in court documents that Gross and another man, Christopher O. Mullins, and the shooting victim were seen on security camera footage in the parking lot when the shooting happened.

Probable cause statements for Mullins and Gross say the men were in the parking lot near Level Up Entertainment and both shot at the victim, got into a Chrysler sedan and drove off.

Officers found 10 shell casings at the scene and said one bullet hit the building.

Gross was booked into the Boone County Jail without bond Tuesday afternoon, according to online records.

Boone County prosecutors also charged Mullins with first-degree assault and armed criminal action in the shooting. Court records say a no bond warrant has been filed for Mullins.
