Columbia duo charged with exploitation of the elderly

COLUMBIA Mo. (KMIZ)

Two men are accused of exploiting the elderly after allegedly doing bad overpriced work for couples around Boone County.

According to court documents, Seth Webb and Austin Carter took money from two victims to complete work that was unsatisfactory.

An industry professional told police that the work that was down was only worth $1,475 from one victim when they got a payment from the victim for $8,600.

Another victim should have been billed $400 and not the $1,750 the duo charged.

Both men are charged with two counts of exploitation of the elderly.

Both men have a $5,000 cash/surety bond set.
