Boone County Sheriff’s Dept. investigating homicide near W. Millbrook Drive

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Multiple Boone County Sheriff's department vehicles are on scene of a shooting on the 4700 block of W. Millbrook Drive.

Officials report that around 7:40 p.m. deputies responded after receiving multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Millbrook Drive and Essex Court.

Officials report that one person was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Just after 9:30 p.m. officials report the 19-year-old victim died from his injuries.

Boone County Sheriff's Office personnel are still on scene investigating.
