DANVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol Twitter account is reporting a possible shooting at Danville Exit on Interstate 70.

Officials tweeted out just before 8:30 p.m. of the investigation.

Cpl. Kyle A. Green reports that troopers "are still trying to piece it together it appears one person was shot and one person is in custody."

An ABC 17 News crew on scene is reporting one vehicle is damaged and crime scene tape is up.

Montgomery County Sheriff Craig Allison spoke to ABC 17 News crew on scene and said a wreck was first reported at 7:30 p.m. at the Danville exit on Interstate 70.

According to Sheriff Allison, a victim called saying the driver crashed the vehilce and then shot her.

Officials say the suspect is in custody.

Officials are reporting the victim was taken to a local hospital.
