Columbia officers respond to late Sunday night robbery

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia officers were called to a late Sunday night robbery at a gas station near downtown.

An MU Alert sent out at 11:37 p.m. said people were asked to avoid the area around the ZX gas station near the intersection of S. Providence Road and Locust Street.

The alerts included two people armed with handguns robbed the business and were last seen running north toward Broadway at 11:50 a.m.

An all-clear was given at 12:11 a.m. University of Missouri police said there was not an ongoing threat to the university campus but that anyone with information about the incident should call the Columbia Police Department.
