COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man suspected of recent crimes, including a shooting, in Harrisburg has been arrested.

Cody Wright, 36, was booked into the Boone County Jail Sunday night after being arrested in a Columbia trailer park.

Boone County Sheriff's Department spokesman Sgt. Brian Leer said Wright is suspected of crimes linked to an incident on Wednesday.

Deputies received a report that Wright broke into an RV parked on Short Street in Harrisburg and stole a firearm inside.

The owner allegedly ran into Wright as he was leaving the RV. Wright is suspected of hitting the vehicle owner with the gun and then firing multiple shots in the air, Leer said.

Wright was arrested in the Crescent Meadows Trailer Court on E. Prathersville Road on Sunday, the spokesman said.

As of Monday, he was held in Boone County Jail custody without bond.
