Columbia man arrested on suspicion of stealing from Midway residence

MIDWAY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man was arrested Monday on suspicion of crimes linked to an ongoing investigation in Midway.

Boone County officials said last week the sheriff's department has received reports of more than a dozen thefts in the Midway area recently.

James M. Lyons, 41, was booked into the Boone County Jail Monday afternoon. Jail records said his bond was set at $13,500.

A post on the Boone County Sheriff's Department Facebook page said Lyons is suspected of stealing a UTV from a Midway residence on Aug. 31.

The post included Lyons was also arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Deputies said the investigation in Midway is ongoing.

As of Tuesday morning, no charges have beeen filed linked to Lyons arrest.
