Man arrested after running from Columbia Police Friday evening

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boone County probable cause statement states how Columbia Police arrested a man after a short police chase.

Court documents report a Columbia police officer was patrolling the 300 block of Nebraska when he saw a subject he believed to be Michale Rubio riding a bike.

After turning around the patrol vehicle, the officer confirmed it was Rubio according to court documents. Rubio has active felony warrants for his arrest.

The probable cause statement states Rubio ran from the officer after being grabbed. Rubio then ran from the initial officer and ran into another officer according to court documents.

Rubio is charged with resisting arrest.

Rubio has two hearings scheduled according to court documents. He has hearing on Oct. 13 for confined docket hearing and one on Oct. 20 for case review.

Rubio has a $50,000 cash or surety bond according to court documents.
