COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man faces multiple drug charges in Boone County linked to separate incidents.

County prosecutors filed felony charges against 40-year-old Anthony Williams last week.

Online court records say he's accused of drug trafficking and bringing a controlled substance inside a jail.

Williams' probable cause statement said authorities found about a third of a pound of cocaine inside his residence on Hunley Court during a search on Thursday. The documents say more than $17,000 in cash, a digital scale and drug packaging material were also found at the residence.

Boone County Jail records say Williams was booked into the jail later that day.

A separate court document said jail officers found a small bag containing fentanyl on Williams' person after another inmate had a medical emergency on Friday.

Documents say the other inmate may have had an overdose.

Williams' probable cause statement said he was on probation after he was accused of selling drugs.

Jail records say Williams was still in jail as of Tuesday being held on a $115,000 bond.
