Man arrested in Tuesday manhunt booked into Boone County Jail

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man arrested after a Columbia police manhunt Tuesday was booked into the Boone County Jail Wednesday.

Morris McDonald, 34, of St. Louis, was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges.

Online court documents say McDonald faces felony charges for tampering with a motor vehicle, second-degree domestic assault, resisting arrest, second-degree burglary and delivery of a controlled substance.

Columbia police officers chased McDonald on Tuesday after a 29-year-old woman claimed he assaulted her.

The police department said in a news release McDonald crashed into another vehicle at the Stadium Boulevard and West Boulevard intersection. Officers said he ran into the woods, he was later found unconcious near an abandoned building.

McDonald was taken to the hospital after officer revived him with narcan.

Court records said McDonald's bond was set at $50,000.

Jail records said he was held in jail custody as of Thursday morning.
